LEADING OFF
The Arkansas Tech softball team begins an eight-game road stretch this weekend with a three-game series at East Central.

The series is scheduled to start with a single game starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 20 and then conclude with a doubleheader starting at Noon on Saturday.

The Golden Suns and Tigers have met 51 times prior to their series this weekend. The series began in 2011 and has been played annually as conference foes since 2012. Tech currently holds a 35-16 lead in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter this weekend with an overall record of 16-8 and are 9-3 in the GAC. They have won six-straight games and are most-recently coming off a three-game sweep at home against Southeastern Oklahoma this past weekend.

Offensively, the Golden Suns enter this weekend hitting .258 as a team (160-for-619) with 108 runs scored, 23 doubles, five triples and 16 home runs.

Aaliyah Dixon currently leads the team in batting average at .309 (17-for-55).
Dixon also has provided the most power production thus far with a .527 slugging percentage thanks to two doubles, two triples and two home runs.

Anna Winkfield leads the team in runs scored with 18.

Aly White,
Ainslee Moore and
Jenny Shank made starts over Tech's most-recent weekend against Southeastern Oklahoma and figure to be among the rotation this weekend against East Central.

White is 7-3 with a 1.83 ERA and has 34 strikeouts in 57.1 innings.
Moore is 5-0 with a 3.40 ERA and has 34 strikeouts in 47.1 innings.
Shank is 1-3 with a 5.78 ERA and has 21 strikeouts in 23.0 innings.

Leading the Golden Suns is
Jordon Jones. In her fourth season as head coach of the Golden Suns,
Jones has amassed a 97-81 record at Tech. Prior to coming to Tech,
Jones had head coaching stops at the NAIA level at Central Baptist in Conway and MidAmerica Nazarene in Kansas. Overall, her career record is 250-157.

SCOUTING EAST CENTRAL
East Central enters the weekend 5-21 overall and 3-9 in the GAC. They have lost six-straight games and are most-recently coming off being swept on the road at Harding.

Entering play against Tech, the Tigers are hitting .220 as a team (136-for-617) with 61 runs scored, 19 doubles, one triple and 11 home runs.

Elyse LeClair currently leads the team in batting average at .321 (26-for-81).
Kenni Tudor has provided the biggest power threat thus far for the Tigers and leads the team with a .534 slugging percentage thanks to four doubles and four home runs.
Tudor is tied for the team-lead in RBIs with Kennedy Lord with 11.
LeClair leads the team in runs scored with 11.

Brooklyn Charnock and
Kennedy Schroeder in their weekend series against Harding. Those two figure to be in the weekend rotation against Tech.
