Golden Suns make home debut against No. 50-ranked Central Oklahoma; host Missouri Western on Sunday

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to make its long-awaited debut at home this season as they will host No. 50-ranked Central Oklahoma on Friday morning out at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex. Two days later, they will remain at home to take on Missouri Western.
 
The UCO match is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13 while the Missouri Western match is slated for a noon start on Sunday, March 15.
 
The Golden Suns enter weekend 6-1 overall and have won four-straight matches. This past weekend, the Golden Suns picked up a trio of wins with victories in the Dallas Metroplex area over Collin County, Southwest Baptist and UT Dallas.
 
UCO enters the match 7-2 overall. They have won two-straight and will be coming off a 5-2 win at Henderson State earlier on Thursday. The day prior, the Bronchos bounced back from their first loss of the spring with a 7-0 win against Harding.  
 
Missouri Western is slated to play at home against Ouachita Baptist on Friday morning prior to taking on Tech on Sunday. Heading into that match, the Griffons are 4-2 overall.
 
In terms of the latest ITA rankings, UCO has a pair of players ranked as individuals (Mei Hasegawa – 32nd; Pete Komada – 54th) as well as two doubles pairings (Hasegawa/Komada – 18th; Komada/Ayaka Koga – 20th). Missouri Western has one individual ranked, Johanna Priedite (43rd).
