LEADING OFF
The Arkansas Tech softball team has a been weekend ahead of them as they are at home against No. 10-ranked Southern Arkansas for a three-game series.

The series is scheduled to start with a single game on Friday, February 27 starting at 5 p.m. The series will end with a doubleheader starting at Noon on Saturday.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter this weekend with an overall record of 10-5 and are 3-0 in the GAC. They have won four-straight games and are coming off a three-game sweep at home against Northwestern Oklahoma last weekend. In the three-game series, the Golden Suns allowed just one run.

Offensively, the Golden Suns enter this weekend hitting .281 as a team (108-for-384) with 71 runs scored, 15 doubles, four triples and nine home runs.

Anna Winkfield currently leads the team in batting average at .375 (15-for-40).
Aubree Jones has provided the most power production thus far with a .605 slugging percentage thanks to a double and a trio of home runs.
Winkfield paces the team in RBIs with 11 while
Jones leads in runs scored with 13.

In the circle, the Golden Suns have a team ERA of 2.70 and have struck out 83 batters in 101.0 innings of work.

A total of five pitchers have appeared in the circle for the Golden Suns.
Aly White,
Ainslee Moore and
Jenny Shank all made starts over Tech's most-recent weekend against Northwestern Oklahoma and figure to be among the rotation this weekend against Southern Arkansas.

White is 5-2 with a 1.53 ERA and has 23 strikeouts in 36.2 innings.
Moore is 3-0 with a 3.97 ERA and has 29 strikeouts in 30.0 innings.
Shank is 1-2 with a 3.98 ERA and has 18 strikeouts in 19.1 innings.

Leading the Golden Suns is
Jordon Jones. In her fourth season as head coach of the Golden Suns,
Jones has amassed an 91-78 record at Tech. Prior to coming to Tech,
Jones had head coaching stops at the NAIA level at Central Baptist in Conway and MidAmerica Nazarene in Kansas. Overall, her career record is 242-156.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
Southern Arkansas enters the weekend 17-2 overall and 2-1 in the GAC. They have won three-straight games and are most-recently coming off a doubleheader sweep at home against Christian Brothers this past Tuesday.

Entering play against Tech, the Muleriders are hitting .353 as a team (176-for-499) with 132 runs scored, 32 doubles, six triples and 22 home runs.

Maddie Leal currently leads the team in batting average at .509 (27-for-53).
America Rubio has provided the biggest power threat thus far for the Muleriders and leads the team with a .878 slugging percentage thanks to three doubles and six home runs.
Rubio, Paris Endris and
Kelsie Adams pace the team in RBIs with 19 each.
Leal leads the team in runs with 22.

The Muleriders used a weekend rotation of
Emma Duncan and
Kassie Rhodes in their weekend series against Southern Nazarene. Those two figure to be in the weekend rotation against Tech.
