RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech freshman pitcher Jenny Shank has been named as the latest Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday. In the same release, Shank's teammate Anna Winkfield was named GAC Player of the Week.
 
It is the first GAC weekly honor in the career of Shank.
 
In earning the conference award, Shank picked up her collegiate win in the circle for the Golden Suns and completed the sweep of the Rangers with a 1-hit shutout in the series finale on Saturday 

Shank would carry a no-hitter into the top of the seventh inning before surrendering her first and only hit of the game. She would work around the lead-off single to put the finishing touches on the shutout as she also totaled seven strikeouts.
