TIPPING OFF
After making their first two-game Oklahoma road swing of the season last weekend, the Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is set to be at home each of the next two weekends, starting first with a Thursday game against East Central and then a Saturday contest with Southeastern Oklahoma.

This will be the 39th meeting all-time between Tech and East Central. The series began in 1986 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 26-12 record in the series.

Against Southeastern Oklahoma, this will be the 34th meeting all-time between Tech and SE. The series began in 1980 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold an 18-16 record in the series.

Tip-off for the East Central game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 while the East Central game will have a 1 p.m. tip-off on Saturday, January 17.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 10-2 overall and 6-2 in the GAC. They are coming off a 63-55 win on the road at Southern Nazarene this past Saturday. Overall, the Golden Suns have won four-straight and six of their last seven games.

Southeastern Oklahoma is 5-9 overall and 2-6 in the GAC. The Savage Storm will have played a game on the road against Harding on Thursday prior to playing at Tech on Saturday. The Savage Storm have won two-straight games with both coming last weekend at home.

Statistically, the Savage Storm average 68.9 ppg and rank sixth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Savage Storm rank 10th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 68.4 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Savage Storm are sixth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .406 (341-of-840) and are allowing their opponents a .376 mark (317-of-842) to rank third.
