RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After a baker's dozen of non-conference dual matches this spring, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to begin their Great American Conference schedule of matches starting this Tuesday afternoon on the road at Harding.
The Golden Suns will enter that initial GAC match 5-8 overall. They are also coming off a three-match week this past week as they spent their spring break on the road in the southeastern part of the United States with stops in Alabama and Florida.
Of their eight dual defeats this spring, five have come against nationally-ranked opponents as the Golden Suns have played an extremely challenging non-conference schedule.
As for Harding, the Lady Bisons enter with a 7-9 overall record and will also be playing their first conference match of the season. This past week, Harding played three matches with the final two being exhibition matches against junior colleges. In matches that have counted, Harding has won their last two.
The match is scheduled for 2 p.m. from the David Elliot Tennis Complex in Searcy.
