Golden Suns set to take on third ranked opponent in No. 17 Nebraska Kearney

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Golden Suns Tennis heads down to Arkadelphia on Saturday, March 1 to face No. 17 Nebraska Kearney. The match is slated to start at 10 a.m. and will be played on the courts at Ouachita Baptist.

This will be the third nationally-ranked opponent that Tech will face this spring, having previously played then-No. 19 Mississippi College and then-No. 15 ranked Angelo State. This match also marks the second time the Golden Suns will play at a neutral site in Arkadelphia. The first was against No. 15 Angelo State on Henderson's courts and now this match against No. 17 Nebraska Kearney.

Nebraska Kearney will come into this match on short rest after facing Harding on the road in Searcy earlier today (Friday, February 28). They go into that match against Harding with a 7-1 record. Their one loss came at the hands of No. 16 Augustana University. Nebraska Kearney has swept teams in five of their seven wins.

The Golden Suns come into this match 1-3 after they secured their first win of the 2025 season against Arkansas-Fort Smith this past Tuesday. They went 6-1 in that match and swept all doubles matches.
