With two weeks left of the regular season, the Arkansas Tech women's basketball team has three of their final four games at home, starting with a Friday night clash with Southeastern Oklahoma.
 
This will be the 34th meeting all-time between Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma. The series began in 1980 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold an 18-15 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 6-16 overall and 4-14 in GAC play. They are coming off a 63-53 win at home against Ouachita Baptist this past Saturday. It was the second-straight win for the Golden Suns.
 
This season, the Golden Suns average 61.4 ppg and rank ninth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 67.5 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .391 (494-of-1,263) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .388 mark (535-of-1,380) to rank fifth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .261 (97-of-371) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .321 (162-of-505) to rank sixth. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .665 as a team (266-of-400) to rank 11th.
 
Individually, the Golden Suns have one player averaging double figure with AbbiGrace Cunningham leading the way at 10.3 ppg. Three others average at least 9.0 ppg.
 
Julie Wagner leads the team in rebounds with 7.6 rpg. In terms of assists, Andie Zylak leads the team with 3.2 apg.
 
Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by Zylak at 1.6 spg and in blocks by Wagner at 1.0 bpg.
 
The Golden Suns are coached by Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech, Wilbers has amassed a 362-150 overall record. Nine times, Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
 
SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma is 17-7 overall and are 14-4 in conference play. The Savage Storm have won four-straight and have clinched a spot in the upcoming GAC Basketball Tournament. They currently are tied for second-place with Harding and are a game back of league-leading Southern Nazarene.
 
Statistically, the Savage Storm average 66.9 ppg and rank third in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Savage Storm rank eighth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 61.9 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Savage Storm are fourth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .408 (556-of-1,362) and are allowing their opponents a .391 mark (543-of-1,389) to rank sixth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Savage Storm shoot at a clip of .322 (165-of-513) to rank fifth in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .313 (142-of-454) to rank fifth. From the free throw line, the Savage Storm shoot .823 as a team (329-of-400) to rank first.
 
Individually, the Savage Storm have three players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Caitlin Kobiskie at 17.4 ppg. Kenzli Warden is next at 13.0 ppg and is followed by Holli Lindley, who rounds out double figure scoring at 10.4 ppg.
 
Kobiskie is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Stevie Stinchcomb leads the team and is averaging 2.7 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Savage Storm are led in steals by Lindley at 1.3 steals per game and in blocks by Lindley at 0.9 blocks per game.
 
The Savage Storm are coached by Darin Grover, who is in his 20th season at Southeastern Oklahoma. At Southeastern, Grover is 294-255 overall.
