The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team remains at home this Saturday and is looking to keep the positive momentum going from their rivalry win against Harding this past Thursday as they host Ouachita Baptist.
 
This will be the 97th meeting all-time between Tech and Ouachita Baptist. In a series that dates back to 1977, the Golden Suns and Tigers have played one another at least twice in a season throughout the series as conference rivals. The Golden Suns currently hold a 77-19 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 5-16 overall and 3-14 in GAC play. They are coming off 65-59 upset win at home against rival Harding this past Thursday.
 
This season, the Golden Suns average 61.7 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank sixth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 61.0 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .388 (474-of-1,221) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .390 mark (517-of-1,326) to rank fifth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .265 (95-of-358) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .317 (153-of-482) to rank fifth. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .662 as a team (245-of-370) to rank 11th.
 
Individually, the Golden Suns have one player averaging double figure with AbbiGrace Cunningham leading the way at 10.5 ppg. Three others average at least 9.0 ppg.
 
Julie Wagner leads the team in rebounds with 7.5 rpg. In terms of assists, Andie Zylak leads the team with 3.3 apg.
 
Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by Zylak at 1.5 spg and in blocks by Wagner at 1.0 bpg.
 
The Golden Suns are coached by Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech, Wilbers has amassed a 361-150 overall record. Nine times, Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
 
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita Baptist is 9-12 overall and are 5-12 in conference play. The Tigers are coming off a 70-52 win at home against rival Henderson State this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Tigers average 61.7 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank third in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 61.0 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are second in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .423 (480-of-1,134) and are allowing their opponents a .383 mark (440-of-1,148) to rank eighth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Tigers shoot at a clip of .351 (120-of-342) to rank first in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .328 (152-of-463) to rank seventh. From the free throw line, the Tigers shoot .740 as a team (216-of-292) to rank sixth.
 
Individually, the Tigers have one player averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Madeline Tipton at 14.0 ppg. The Tigers have four other players averaging at 7.0 ppg.
 
Brooke Smith is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 5.5 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Tipton leads the team and are averaging 3.2 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Tigers are led in steals by Laney Mears at 1.3 steals per game and in blocks by Abbey Harrison at 2.0 blocks per game.
 
The Tigers are coached by Kiley Hill, who is in his first season at Ouachita Baptist and his 23rd overall. At Ouachita, Hill is 9-12 and 336-311 overall.
