The Arkansas Tech volleyball team is down to its final three matches of the regular season and have two of them at home inside Tucker Coliseum. The first of those home matches is this Thursday night against Southern Arkansas.

This will be the second match of the 2025 regular season between Tech and Southern Arkansas. The initial meeting came back on September 23, and Tech won the match, 3-1.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter the match against Southern Arkansas 14-9 overall and 10-3 in the GAC. Tech is coming off a 3-0 win on the road this past Tuesday at Arkansas-Monticello.

At 10-3 in the GAC, the Golden Suns have secured a spot in the upcoming GAC Volleyball Tournament. It will be their first appearance in the conference tournament since 2022. Currently, the Golden Suns are tied for third-place with Southwestern Oklahoma. The Golden Suns do hold the head-to-head tiebreaker against SWOSU, previously beating them in their lone regular season meeting, 3-1.

Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 13.6 kills/set and have a .221 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 190 kills and are led by
Savannah Meyer and her 242 kills.
Erika Hernandez has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .383 (195k-418att-35err).

The Golden Suns have split time at setter between their three
Aspen Jankowski,
Emma Kiser and
Kenzie Garrett. All three have at least 245 assists with

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
Southern Arkansas enters the match with Tech 11-16 overall and are 5-8 in GAC play. The Muleriders are coming off a big win at home their last time out, beating Henderson State, 3-1.

At 5-8 in the GAC, the Muleriders are currently in a tie for seventh-place in the 12-team league standings and are in position to make the conference tournament.
