The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is to play the final game of a four-game road swing at Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon.
 
This will be the 110th meeting all-time between Tech and Arkansas-Monticello. In a series that dates back to 1977, the Golden Suns and Cotton Blossoms have played one another at least twice in a season throughout the series as conference rivals. The Golden Suns currently hold a 79-30 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 3-12 overall and 1-10 in GAC play. Tech has dropped its last nine games with the most-recent coming on the road at Harding this past Thursday.
 
This season, the Golden Suns average 62.9 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 69.6 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are 10th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .381 (344-of-902) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .392 mark (372-of-949) to rank seventh.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .260 (69-of-265) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .326 (105-of-322) to rank seventh. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .655 as a team (186-of-284) to rank 11th.
 
Individually, the Golden Suns have one player averaging double figure with AbbiGrace Cunningham leading the way at 10.4 ppg. Three others average at least 8.0 ppg.
 
Julie Wagner leads the team in rebounds with 7.5 rpg. In terms of assists, Andie Zylak leads the team with 3.3 apg.
 
Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by Zylak at 1.6 spg and in blocks by Wagner at 1.1 bpg.
 
The Golden Suns are coached by Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech, Wilbers has amassed a 359-146 overall record. Nine times, Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
 
SCOUTING THE COTTON BLOSSOMS
Arkansas-Monticello is 8-9 overall and are 3-8 in conference play. The Cotton Blossoms have lost their last four games. Their most-recent game was a 68-66 loss on the road at Southern Arkansas this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Cotton Blossoms average 66.6 ppg and rank sixth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Cotton Blossoms rank 10th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 65.7 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Cotton Blossoms are seventh in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .396 (414-of-1,046) and are allowing their opponents a .392 mark (389-of-992) to rank eighth.

Cha'Myrean Ellis is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Kelsey Blakemore leads the team and are averaging 2.2 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Cotton Blossoms are led in steals by Harris at 1.5 steals per game and in blocks by Harris at 0.5 blocks per game.
 
The Cotton Blossoms are coached by David Midlick, who is in his second season at Arkansas-Monticello and his 11th overall. At UAM, Midlick is 25-48 and is 155-152 overall.
