The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team begins a four-game road stint on Thursday night at East Central.

This will be the 37th meeting all-time between Tech and East Central. The series began in 1986 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 26-10 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 3-9 overall and 1-7 in GAC play. Tech has dropped its last six games with the most-recent coming at home against Southern Nazarene this past Saturday.

This season, the Golden Suns average 66.1 ppg and rank eighth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 12th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 70.3 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are sixth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .396 (291-of-734) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .389 mark (303-of-778) to rank seventh.

Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech,
Wilbers has amassed a 359-143 overall record. Nine times,
Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a
Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

East Central is 4-8 overall and are 2-6 in conference play. The Tigers have dropped its last six games with the most-recent coming on the road at Southern Arkansas this past Saturday.
