The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team will be at home on Saturday afternoon taking on Southern Nazarene.
 
This will be the 31st meeting all-time between Tech and Southern Nazarene. The series began in 1985 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 19-12 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 3-8 overall and 1-6 in GAC play. Tech has dropped its last five games with the most-recent coming at home against Oklahoma Baptist this past Thursday.
 
This season, the Golden Suns average 67.1 ppg and rank seventh in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 12th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 70.5 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are fifth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .406 (274-of-675) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .387 mark (276-of-714) to rank sixth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .282 (53-of-188) to rank 11th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .328 (81-of-247) to rank eighth. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .643 as a team (137-of-213) to rank 11th.
 
Individually, the Golden Suns have two players averaging double figures and are led by Julie Wagner at 10.5 ppg. Olivia Jones is next and rounds out double-figure scoring at 10.2 ppg. AbbiGrace Cunningham and Hayleigh Wyrick are just outside double-figure scoring at 9.9 ppg and 9.5 ppg, respectively.
 
Wagner also leads the team in rebounds with 8.2 rpg. In terms of assists, Andie Zylak leads the team with 3.9 apg.
 
Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by Zylak at 1.6 spg and in blocks by Wagner at 1.1 bpg.
 
The Golden Suns are coached by Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech, Wilbers has amassed a 359-141 overall record. Nine times, Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON STORM
Southern Nazarene is 8-5 overall and are 5-2 in conference play. The Crimson Storm are coming off a loss their last time out, falling on the road at Harding,  67-63, this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Crimson Storm average 62.9 ppg and rank 11th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Crimson Storm rank second in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 57.8 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Crimson Storm are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .409 (313-of-765) and are allowing their opponents a .375 mark (271-of-723) to rank second.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Crimson Storm shoot at a clip of .283 (72-of-254) to rank 10th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .305 (62-of-225) to rank third. From the free throw line, the Crimson Storm shoot .632 as a team (120-of-190) to rank 12th.
 
Individually, the Crimson Storm have one player averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Hannah Giddey at 15.0 ppg. Three other Crimson Storm have at least 7.0 ppg.
 
Giddey is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 8.9 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Giddey leads the team and is averaging 4.2 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Crimson Storm are led in steals by Katie King at 2.3 steals per game and in blocks by Giddey at 2.6 blocks per game.
