FIRST SERVE
The Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to play its final weekend of non-conference matches this weekend as they are on the road at the Warhawk Invitational, hosted by Auburn-Montgomery.
 
The Golden Suns are scheduled to play three matches at the invitational starting first with an 11:30 a.m. match on Friday, September 20 against Shorter University. Later that day, they will play host Auburn-Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. The following day, the Golden Suns will play just once match at 9 a.m. against Palm Beach Atlantic.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are off to a 4-5 start to their season and have won three-straight matches. Their most-recent win came this past Tuesday at home against Henderson State. That match was both the home-opener and GAC-opener for the Golden Suns.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.3 kills/set and have a .189 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 80 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 117 kills. Henley Hooks has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .299 (103k-234att-33err).
 
The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with Emma Kiser pacing the offense. Kiser's assist total now stands at 259.

SHORTER
The Hawks are off to a 3-3 start to their season and lost their last three matches. Their most-recent defeat came on the road at No. 22-ranked Augusta University this past Tuesday. In that match, Shorter lost in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
 
Offensively, the Hawks are averaging 12.9 kills/set and have a .168 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 50 kills and are led by Laila Bernardino and her 67 kills. Caroline Sivills has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .283 (53k-113att-21err).
 
The Hawks have split time at setter between Marysa Ocampo and Brielle Wood. The two have combined for 216 assists. Ocampo currently leads the team with 125 assists.

The Warhawks are off to a 3-3 start to their season and are coming off a win in their most-recent match against Chowan this past Saturday at the Chowan Invitational.
 
Offensively, the Warhawks are averaging 11.2 kills/set and have a .150 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 40 kills and are led by Maya Thompson and her 62 kills. Thompson also has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .254 (62k-138att-27err).
 
The Warhawks have split time at setter between Campbell Gash and Savannah Sebek. The two have combined for 172 of the team's 196 assists. Gash currently leads the team with 91 assists.

The Sailfish are off to a 2-4 start to their season and have lost their last two matches. Each of those losses came in five sets, as they lost to West Liberty and Walsh 15-12 in that fifth set.
 
Offensively, the Sailfish are averaging 10.3 kills/set and have a .155 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 40 kills and are led by Sydney Corbett and her 58 kills. Karleigh Ammons has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .373 (39k-83att-8err).
