After the first two weekends of action on the road, the Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to make its 2024 home debut on Tuesday, September 17 against Henderson State. The match will also be the Great American Conference opener for both teams.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are off to a 3-5 start to their season after splitting their four matches last weekend at the Flame Invitational, hosted by Lee University. At that invitational, Tech played Lincoln Memorial and Eckerd on Friday and closed with Georgia College and Lee on Saturday. The Golden Suns were competitive in their Friday matches but came out on the short end. Saturday, however, the Golden Suns were able to put it all together and swept Georgia College and upended Lee in five sets.

Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.1 kills/set and have a .176 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 70 kills and are led by
Savannah Meyer and her 106 kills.
Henley Hooks has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .295 (93k-210att-31err).

The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with
Emma Kiser pacing the offense. After registering 131 of the team's 156 assists over the weekend,
Kiser now leads the team with 229.

Jamie Myrick leads the team in digs with 134.
Jordan Clouse currently leads the team in blocks with 29.0.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Henderson State
The Reddies are off to a 7-2 start to their season. This past weekend, Henderson State took part in the Denton Volleyfest, hosted by Texas Woman's. The Reddies would split their four-matches as they beat Pittsburg State in five sets, Midwestern State in four sets, but lost to Arkansas-Fort Smith in four and Texas Woman's in three.

Offensively, the Reddies are averaging 11.7 kills/set and have a .181 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 70 kills and are led by
Christiane Uzoh and her 84 kills.
Larkin Luke has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .389 (43k-95att-6err).

Madison Hatt and
Braxton Jones. The two have combined for 279 assists.
