RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is back at home for their final two regular season matches and set to play their penultimate home match against Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon out at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
The Golden Suns enter their match at home against Southeastern Oklahoma 6-8 overall and 1-2 in GAC play. Most-recently, the Golden Suns lost on the road at Henderson State, 7-0, but were ultra-competitive in all three doubles matches and won the first set in four of the singles matches.
Southeastern Oklahoma is set to play a match on Friday at Harding prior to playing Tech on Saturday afternoon. Heading into their weekend of action, Southeastern has an overall record of 14-4 and a 2-0 mark in GAC play.
The Savage Storm are currently on a seven-match winning streak with their last loss coming back in the middle of March when they narrowly lost on the road at then-ranked No. 34 Northwest Missouri, 4-3.
This will be the 27th match all-time between Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma in a series that dates back to 2003. Southeastern Oklahoma currently leads the series, 15-11, over Tech.
First-serve against the Savage Storm is scheduled for Noon on Saturday afternoon.
