RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to get the spring portion of their 2023-24 scheduled underway on Wednesday, February 7 as they play host to nearby Central Arkansas. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. from the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
During the fall, the Golden Suns competed in three events including the UCA Fall Invitational back in September. Their most-recent event played was the 2023 Great American Conference Individual Championships, which were played on Tech's campus back in late October.
While this is the Golden Suns' first dual action of the spring, the Sugar Bears of UCA have already played in four matches and are 2-2. Their most-recent match was a neutral site dual against Kansas City in Springfield, Mo. UCA would come away with a close 4-3 win against the Kangaroos.
Wednesday's match will the fourth dual match between the Golden Suns and Sugar Bears in as many years. UCA is 3-0 in the previous three matches, but each were extremely close with UCA winning 4-3.
