TIPPING OFF
The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team remains on the road within the Natural State this Saturday afternoon as they will head to Arkadelphia to take on Ouachita Baptist.

This will be the 95th meeting all-time between Arkansas Tech and Ouachita Baptist in a series that dates back to 1977. Overall, Tech holds a commanding 76-18 lead in the series. Since the two became charter members of the GAC prior to the 2011-12 season, the Golden Suns are 25-4 against Ouachita.

This will be the second game between the Golden Suns and Tigers this season. The met in Russellville back on December 2. Ouachita Baptist won that initial meeting, 63-57.

Tip-off for Saturday afternoon's game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Bill Vining Arena in Arkadelphia.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 10-11 overall on the season and are 7-10 in the GAC. The Golden Suns are coming off a hard fought 80-65 loss on the road at consensus top-10 ranked Harding this past Thursday night.

At this point of the season, the Golden Suns average 68.5 ppg and rank fifth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank sixth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 62.9 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are fourth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .415 (524-of-1,263) and are limiting their opponents to a .354 mark (444-of-1,255) to rank third.

From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .291 (95-of-327) to rank 10th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .315 (145-of-461) to rank ninth. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .684 as a team (288-of-421) to rank 10th.

Individually, the Golden Suns have three players averaging double figures and are led by
Alex Hill and her 11.7 ppg. Behind
Hill in scoring is
Maisa Marcal at 10.3 ppg. Rounding out double-figure scoring is
Dana Thompson at 10.0 ppg.

Thompson leads the team in rebounding and is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game. In terms of assists,
Hill lead the team and are averaging 2.6 assists per game each.

Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by
Hill at 1.8 steals per game and in blocks by
Julie Wagner at 1.1 blocks per game.

The Golden Suns are coached by
Dave Wilbers, who is in his 17th season as Tech. During his time at Tech,
Wilbers has amassed a 352-132 overall record. Nine times,
Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a
Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita Baptist is 9-12 overall this season and are 7-10 in the GAC. The Tigers are coming off a heartbreaking 78-76 loss "on the road" at Henderson State this past Thursday night.

Statistically, the Tigers average 66.2 ppg and rank seventh in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank 10th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 65.6 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are seventh in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .398 (500-of-1,255) and limit their opponents to a .399 mark (483-of-1,212) to rank ninth.

Robert Dallimore, who is in his fifth season at Ouachita as head coach. A coach with nearly 30 years' experience,
Dallimore spent the decade prior to coming to Ouachita as the associate head coach at UALR under former Golden Suns' legendary head coach
Joe Foley. Overall,
Dallimore has a 42-70 record at Ouachita.
