The final week of the 2024 regular season is here and the Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to play its final road match of the year this Tuesday night as they travel to Searcy to take on Harding.
 
It will be the second of two regular-season meetings between Tech and Harding. The Lady Bisons won the initial match at Tech, 3-1, back in early-October.
 
The match, which is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. from the Rhodes-Reeves Fieldhouse in Searcy, will have live stats and video available with both links being found at: www.ArkansasTechSports.com/coverage
 
TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 13-15 overall and 5-9 in the GAC, currently tied with Henderson State, Southern Arkansas and Southern Nazarene for eighth place in the conference standings. The Golden Suns are also coming off a tough 3-1 loss on the road at Southern Arkansas this past Thursday.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.6 kills/set and have a .198 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 225 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 367 kills. Jordon Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .337 (132k-309att-28err).
 
The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with Emma Kiser pacing the offense. Kiser's assist total now stands at 904. Since taking over as primary setter, Kiser has had 30 or more assists in a match 15 times.
 
Defensively the Golden Suns are averaging 15.5 digs/set and 1.7 blocks per set. Jamie Myrick leads the team in digs with 488. Sierra Orton currently leads the team in blocks with 78.0.
 
The head coach of the Golden Suns is Kera Coleman. She is in her seventh year as head coach of her alma mater and eighth overall. In her time at Tech, Coleman is 86-101. Overall, she's 105-113.

The Lady Bisons are 18-8 overall and 11-3 in GAC play. They have clinched a berth into the GAC Volleyball Tournament and are locked in as the No. 2-seed. They are coming off a 3-1 win over Henderson State his past Thursday.
 
Offensively, the Lady Bisons are averaging 14.2 kills/set and have a .227 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 200 kills and are led by Skyler McKinnon and her 322 kills. Ashley Lamkin has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .311 (150k-350att-41err).
 
The Lady Bisons have used a primary setter in Olivia Wiedower. She currently has 1,032 of the team's 1,262 assists on the year. She has had 30 or more assists 22 times.
 
Defensively the Lady Bisons are averaging 18.3 digs/set and 1.9 blocks per set. Tatum Fouche leads the team in digs with 488. Three different Lady Bisons have registered at least 50 blocks thus far with Ashley Lamkin leading the way with 93.0 blocks.
 
The head coach of the Lady Bisons is Meredith Fear. She is in her 13th year as the head coach at her alma mater and her 15th overall. She currently has a 281-103 career record at Harding and a 317-135 career record.
