The Arkansas Tech volleyball team will resume Great American Conference action on Thursday night with a road trip at Henderson State.
 
It will be the second of two regular-season meetings between Tech and Henderson State. The Golden Suns won the initial match at home, 3-0, back in mid-September.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 12-13 overall and 4-7 in the GAC. They are coming off a quick 3-0 sweep on the road at Lane College this past Tuesday for their final non-conference match of the season.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.5 kills/set and have a .198 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 200 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 329 kills. Jordon Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .345 (114k-261att-24err).
 
The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with Emma Kiser pacing the offense. Kiser's assist total now stands at 796. Since taking over as primary setter, Kiser has had 30 or more assists in a match 13 times.
 
Defensively the Golden Suns are averaging 15.1 digs/set and 1.8 blocks per set. Jamie Myrick leads the team in digs with 434. Sierra Orton currently leads the team in blocks with 74.0.
 
The head coach of the Golden Suns is Kera Coleman. She is in her seventh year as head coach of her alma mater and eighth overall. In her time at Tech, Coleman is 85-99. Overall, she's 104-111.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
HENDERSON STATE
The Reddies are 12-12 overall and 3-8 in GAC play. They have lost their last two matches, both coming in conference action this past weekend on the road at Southwestern Oklahoma and Northwestern Oklahoma.
 
Offensively, the Reddies are averaging 12.0 kills/set and have a .161 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 100 kills and are led by Kaitlyn Steffes and her 285 kills. Larkin Luke has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .303 (105k-264att-25err).
 
The Reddies have split time at setter between Madison Hatt and Braxton Jones. Hatt is currently the leader with 438 while Jones has 369.
 
Defensively the Reddies are averaging 17.5 digs/set and 2.2 blocks per set. Kaylon Partain leads the team in digs with 486. Three different Reddies have registered at least 70.0 blocks thus far with Larkin Luke leading the way with 80.0 blocks.
