FIRST SERVE
The Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to hit the road this weekend and will be making their final trip in conference play across state lines for a pair of matches.
 
First up, the Golden Suns will take on Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday, October 24 starting at 7 p.m. The following day, they will travel to Bethany, Okla. to take on Southern Nazarene. That match is scheduled for a 4 p.m.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 11-11 overall and are 4-5 in Great American Conference play. They are coming off an exciting 3-0 sweep over Arkansas-Fort Smith in non-conference action this past Monday. In that match, the Golden Suns trailed by at least four points in each of the first two sets when UAFS reached 23 points before making epic comebacks to win the sets.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.7 kills/set and have a .197 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 170 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 294 kills. Jordon Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .349 (104k-232att-23err).
 
The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with Emma Kiser pacing the offense. Kiser's assist total now stands at 697. Since taking over as primary setter, Kiser has had 30 or more assists in a match 12 times.

OKLAHOMA BAPTIST
The Bison are 12-9 overall and 6-3 in the GAC. They are currently riding a five-match winning streak, all in conference play, and have not lost since October 1. On the road, the Bison are 2-4.
 
Offensively, the Bison are averaging 12.9 kills/set and have a .194 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 170 kills and are led by Jill Leslie and her 229 kills. Leslie also has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .310 (229k-535att-63err).
 
The Bison have used a primary setter in Emily Boyer. Boyer has accounted for 766 of the team's 948 assists. She has registered 30 or more assists 14 times this season.

The Crimson Storm are 7-15 overall and 3-6 in the GAC. Southern Nazarene will have played a match the night prior to taking on the Golden Suns as they will be home against Harding, but heading into the weekend, the Crimson Storm have won three-straight matches.
 
Offensively, the Crimson Storm are averaging 11.7 kills/set and have a .190 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 150 kills and are led by Kate Wright and her 220 kills. Riley Richardson has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .309 (151k-330att-49err).
 
The Crimson Storm have used a primary setter in Emma Grace Moddelmog. Moddelmog has accounted for 636 of the team's 883 assists. She has registered 30 or more assists nine times this season.
