The Arkansas Tech volleyball team returns home for a pair of pivotal Great American Conference matches against Northwestern Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma.
 
First up, the Golden Suns will take on Northwestern Oklahoma on Thursday, October 17 starting at 6 p.m. The following day, they will host Southwestern Oklahoma for their annual Dig Pink match. That match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start and there will be an in-person silent auction going for the game-worn pink jerseys of the players.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 9-10 overall and 3-4 in GAC play. The Golden Suns are looking to get back into the win column in conference play after going 0-2 last week on the road as they played at East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.4 kills/set and have a .192 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 150 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 236 kills. Jordon Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .350 (91k-203att-20err).
 
The Golden Suns have settled on their primary setter with Emma Kiser pacing the offense. Kiser's assist total now stands at 594. Since taking over as primary setter, Kiser has had 30 or more assists in a match 10 times.

NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
The Rangers are 11-7 overall and 5-2 in the GAC. They are coming off an unbeaten week where they knocked off Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. The match with UAM went to a fifth set, while the SAU match was decided in four sets.
 
Offensively, the Rangers are averaging 11.3 kills/set and have a .181 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 100 kills and are led by Erika Ascencio Soriano and her 201 kills. Mariela Jimenez has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .307 (126k-316att-29err).

The Bulldogs are 11-9 overall and 6-1 in the GAC. Southwestern Oklahoma will have played a match the night prior to taking on the Golden Suns as they will be on the road at Harding, but heading into the weekend, the Bulldogs have won six-straight matches.
 
Offensively, the Bulldogs are averaging 12.8 kills/set and have a .223 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 100 kills and are led by Lacy Mott and her 264 kills. Mott also has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .302 (264k-635att-72err).
 
The Bulldogs have split time at setter between Terez Chavez and Cameron Turner. Chavez currently has the most assists with 340 while Turner has 237.
