A majority of non-conference matches are in the books for the Arkansas Tech volleyball team allowing for undivided attention towards Great American Conference play. Essentially playing a pair of conference matches a week the rest of the season, the Golden Suns will have their first road test this coming Tuesday at Southern Arkansas.

Last season, the Golden Suns and Muleriders met twice in the regular season. Tech came away with a win in each match, winning 3-0 at home to start the season series and 3-1 on the road to cap the 2022 series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter Tuesday night's match at Southern Arkansas looking to bounce back from a tough final weekend of non-conference play while also starting off GAC action 2-0 after they won their opener at home against Arkansas-Monticello a week ago.

Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 10.5 kills/set and have a .145 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 50 kills and are led by
Kaitlyn Neal and her 62 kills.
Jordan Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team at .318 (30-kills, 77-attempts, 9-errors).

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Southern Arkansas
SAU comes into Tuesday night's match with Tech 6-7 overall and 0-1 in the GAC. This past weekend, the Muleriders finished their final weekend of non-conference matches at the Auburn-Montgomery Warhawk Invitational. Over the course of the weekend, the Muleriders won three of four matches with their lone loss coming in the finale to AUM.

Offensively, the Muleriders are averaging 11.7 kills/set and have a .187 team attack percentage. They have five players with at least 50 kills and are led by
Jada Hudson and her 81 kills.
Kayte Delong has the highest attack percentage among prominent attackers on the team at .300 (71-kills, 180-attacks, 17-errors).
