Box Score SEARCY, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team picked up a big road win on Tuesday afternoon, beating Harding in a Great American Conference match by a score of 5-2.

The win keeps the Golden Suns unblemished in GAC play as they improved to 3-0. Overall, Tech is now 10-6. It is also marks the 14
th time in the last 16 season that the program has reached double-digit wins, and the first time under first-year head coach
Shaun Wiseman.
In the match, Tech jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point. No. 2 doubles was first to finish with
Daniela Baez and
Sofia Beggiatto winning their match, 6-4. Harding leveled doubles play with a 6-2 win at No. 1.
The decisive doubles match featured some bonus tennis as
Madalena Amil and
Melanie Griffiths dispatched of their opponents, 7-5.
With the doubles point, Tech picked up the first singles point as Amil won at No. 4, 6-3, 7-5.
The Lady Bisons then won the next two singles match at No. 6 and No. 5, respectively, to tie the match at two-all.
Lea Grinberg then got the Golden Suns back on track with a straight-sets win at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-2.
Leading 3-2, the Golden Suns clinched the match at No. 2 as Baez won by matching 6-4 scores.
Aastha Dargude would finish the match out with a win at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 to give the Golden Suns the 5-2 win.
Tech will now turn their attention to this coming Thursday as they will play their final home match of the season. That match will see the Golden Suns take on Henderson State starting at 2 p.m. A Senior Day ceremony will be held at the completion of the match.
