RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Following a schedule change that shifted a scheduled home match with Arkansas State to North Little Rock this past Saturday, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team will be back at home on Monday and play host to nearby Arkansas-Fort Smith.
The Golden Suns will be looking to end a three-match skid, with all three of those matches coming against Division I opponents. Despite the losses on the record, the Golden Suns have been very competitive in both matches narrowly losing to UCA 4-3 and 4-2 and hanging in against Arkansas State 5-2.
Arkansas-Fort Smith enters the match at 1-2 overall. Their lone win this spring was a 7-2 victory against Division III University of the Ozarks. The Lions have also played matches against Henderson State and Southwest Baptist in the early going. UAFS was beaten by each of those, 6-1.
The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. from the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex. Live coverage of the match can be found at
