MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech volleyball team was upended in their final road match of the season on Monday night at Arkansas-Monticello, losing 3-1.
The Golden Suns captured the first set, 25-19, but a spirited UAM team rallied to win the next three sets to secure the win over Tech.
Savannah Meyer led the team in kills with seven and was followed closely by
Sierra Orton's six kills.
Gracie Palmer and
Kenzie Garrett split time at setter with Palmer having a team-high 16 assists while Garrett added 10.
Jamie Myrick led the team in digs with 10.
The Golden Suns will now prepare for their final match of the season on Thursday, November 9. That night the Golden Suns will be taking on Ouachita Baptist and prior to the 6 p.m. start, there will be a Senior Night Ceremony for the three seniors on this year's team;
Emma Crenshaw,
Zoe Lott and
Gracie Palmer.
