FIRST-SERVE
The final week of the regular season has arrived and with it, the Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to make its final road trip on Monday night as they travel to Arkansas-Monticello to take on the Cotton Blossoms.
 
First-serve against Arkansas-Monticello is scheduled for 6 p.m. from inside the Steelman Fieldhouse in Monticello.
 
This will be the second regular season meeting of the year between the Golden Suns and Cotton Blossoms. The Golden Suns won the initial match 3-0 back in mid-September. 
TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enters Monday night's GAC match at Arkansas-Monticello 3-23 overall and 2-12 in the GAC. They are coming of a 3-1 loss on the road at Harding this past Thursday.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 10.8 kills/set and have a .139 team attack percentage. They have five players with at least 100 kills and are led by Kaitlyn Neal and her 217 kills. Jordan Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team at .244 (73-kills, 221-attempts, 22-errors).
 
The Golden Suns' primary setter has been Gracie Palmer. Of the team's 945 assists registered thus far, Palmer has accounted for 499. True freshman Kenzie Garrett has also seen some consistent time as of late in the setter role and has totaled 265 assists this season.
 
Defensively the Golden Suns are averaging 13.8 digs/set and 1.4 blocks per set. Jamie Myrick leads the team in digs with 380. Lauren Grier currently leads the team in blocks with 68.0.
 
The head coach of the Golden Suns is Kera Coleman. She is in her sixth year as head coach of her alma mater and seventh overall. In her time at Tech, Coleman is 73-84. Overall, she's 92-96­. 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Arkansas-Monticello
UAM enters Monday night's conference match against Tech with an 0-26 overall record and an 0-14 mark in the GAC. The Cotton Blossoms have won only four sets the entire year. Their last set won was the third set of their match at home against Southeastern Oklahoma on October 6.
 
Offensively, the Cotton Blossoms are averaging 8.2 kills/set and have a .024 team attack percentage. They have two players with at least 100 kills and are led by Jasmine Welton and her 161 kills. Abrielle Jordan has the highest attack percentage among prominent attackers on the team at .160 (120-kills, 349-attacks, 64-errors).
 
The Cotton Blossoms have split time at setter between Jordan Wehr and Bruna Silva. The two have combined for 436 Of the team's 618 assists registered thus far. Wehr leads the team and has accounted for 229. Just off that pace is Silva's 207.
 
Defensively the Cotton Blossoms are averaging 13.1 digs/set and 1.4 blocks per set. Stasha Adams leads the team in digs with 344. At the net, Abrielle Jordan leads the team with 51.0 blocks.
 
The head coach of the Cotton Blossoms is Katrina English. She is in her second year as head coach at UAM and her sixth overall. In her time at UAM, English has a 10-45 record. Overall, her career head coaching record is 74-105.
