FIRST SERVE
After six-straight Great American Conference matches, the Arkansas Tech volleyball team will take a brief step away from league play and head about an hour west to take on the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
 
First-serve against UAFS is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.
 
Last season, the Golden Suns faced the Lions once at home. Tech would drop the match, 3-0.
 
TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter Tuesday night's match at Arkansas-Fort Smith 1-15 overall and are currently in the midst of an eight-match skid. This past week, the Golden Suns played a pair of matches at home against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist. While competitive in both, the Suns fell in three sets in each match.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 10.9 kills/set and have a .139 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 100 kills and are led by Kaitlyn Neal and her 125 kills. Jordan Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team at .286 (49-kills, 128-attempts, 14-errors).
