The Arkansas Tech volleyball team is back at home this Thursday night for their second-to-last home match of the season. The Golden Suns will be taking on Southern Arkansas as they are now exclusively into GAC play for the remainder of the regular season.

The match is also ATU Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, and the Golden Suns volleyball program invites any and all ATU faculty and staff to be in attendance. Admission to Golden Suns volleyball matches, as always, are FREE.

First-serve against Southern Arkansas is scheduled for 6 p.m. from inside Tucker Coliseum.

This will be the second regular season meeting of the year between the Golden Suns and Muleriders. SAU would come away with a win in the initial meeting, beating Tech 3-1 back in the middle of September in Magnolia.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enters Thursday night's GAC match against Southern Arkansas 2-21 overall and 1-10 in the GAC. They are coming of a 3-1 loss their last time out as the took a step out of conference play and took on Drury this past Tuesday in a non-conference match.

Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 10.8 kills/set and have a .136 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 100 kills and are led by
Kaitlyn Neal and her 179 kills.
Jordan Clouse has the highest attack percentage on the team at .244 (66-kills, 193-attempts, 19-errors).

Gracie Palmer. Of the team's 810 assists registered thus far, Palmer has accounted for 408. True freshman
Kenzie Garrett has also seen some consistent time as of late in the setter role and has totaled 245 assists this season.

Jamie Myrick leads the team in digs with 324.
Lauren Grier currently leads the team in blocks with 53.0.

Kera Coleman. She is in her sixth year as head coach of her alma mater and seventh overall. In her time at Tech,
Coleman is 72-82. Overall, she's 91-94Â.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Southern Arkansas
Southern Arkansas enters Thursday night's conference match at Tech with a 13-10 overall record and a 7-4 mark in the GAC. The Muleriders have won their last three matches, all in conference play and as a result have positioned themselves in a tie for third-place in the current GAC standings.

Offensively, the Muleriders are averaging 12.2 kills/set and have a .194 team attack percentage. They have six players with at least 100 kills and are led by
Kayte Delong and her 191 kills.
Delong also has the highest attack percentage among prominent attackers on the team at .280 (191-kills, 518-attacks, 46-errors).

Morgan Schuster and
Macie Shaver. The two have combined for 810 of the team's 983 assists this year.
