RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to play a pair of matches this week in consecutive days starting first with a home non-conference match with Northeastern State on Wednesday and a road match at Ouachita on Thursday to open up Great American Conference play.
This will be the second match of the year for the Golden Suns against both Northeastern State and Ouachita. In those matches, the Golden Suns dropped a close 4-3 match at Northeastern State to open the spring season back in early February, while just a couple weeks ago, they blanked Ouachita at home, 7-0.
The Golden Suns are coming off a thrilling 4-3 win over previously unbeaten Missouri Western this past Friday at home. That win moved the Golden Suns to 3-4 on the year.
Tech's opponent on Wednesday, Northeastern State, will enter the match 3-4 overall as well, but the RiverHawks have dropped their last four matches. Ouachita, the opponent on Thursday, will enter the match with Tech 2-13 overall and the Tigers have lost their last 12 matches.
