RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to make its home debut for the 2022 spring season on Friday as they will host Henderson State for a non-conference match starting at 2 p.m. out at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
The Golden Suns are off to a tough 0-2 start this spring with both of their defeats coming by a single point, 4-3. In their first two matches of the spring, the Golden Suns have played road matches at Northeastern State and at UCA.
Henderson State is off to a 1-2 start, winning their first match of the spring, 4-3, against Delta State. The Reddies have since dropped matches to No. 15-ranked Angelo State (6-1) and Mississippi College (7-0).
Friday's match is the first of two scheduled regular season matches between the Golden Suns and Reddies. This initial match will be played as a non-conference match while their April 22 meeting will count towards GAC standings.
