The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns host a midweek #RivalryTuesday doubleheader against the Lady Bisons of Harding on Tuesday, April 6. Game one will count as a Great American Conference game while game two will count as non-conference. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.Â
Arkansas Tech is coming off a series sweep over Ouachita Baptist, where the Golden Suns held the Tigers to just three ones over the course of the series.
Shannon Lasey picked up two wins on the weekend while
Caitlyn Wells knocked five hits and 3 RBIs.
The Golden Suns enter the midweek matchup with a 12-13 overall record and a 10-7 record in GAC play.Â
TECH TIDBITS
In their last outing, the Golden suns completed the series sweep by sweeping the doubleheader against the Tigers, 4-1 and 2-1. In game one
Maddy Prough picked up her second win of the season, throwing a complete game, allowing just one run and striking out five.
Makenzie Addis and Wells knocked two hits apiece.
In game two, Lasey recorded her second win in the series, going 5.1 innings and allowing one run on two hits, striking out three.
Kaila Cartwright picked up her first save of the season, going 1.2 innings, not allowing a hit.
Abbie Cain recorded two hits in the game while
Tymber Riley launched her second homerun of the season.
Cain now leads the Golden Suns with a .417 (15-for-36) average followed closely by Wells at .409 (27-for-66). Wells paces the offense with 17 RBIs and nine doubles followed by 11 RBIs from both
Paty Loredo and Addis. Addis is second in the GAC with her seven homeruns this season.

SCOUTING THE LADY BISONS
Harding enters the midweek matchup with a 19-6 overall record and a 12-5 mark in GAC play. In their last outing, the Lady Bisons swept a doubleheader against Arkansas-Monticello, 11-2 and 9-1 (6 inn.). Jessica Bridges and Lily Tanski picked up wins while Nicole Shano recorded three hits in both games with 7 RBIs on the day.
Tanksi leads the conference with a 1.18 ERA and 13-3 record. Hanna Jones and Ashton Bryce pace the offense, both hitting .417 (40-for-72) and (25-for-60). The Lady Bisons have four other players hitting over .300 for the season.
