ARKADELPHIA, Ark- Shannon Lasey showed what she's capable of, tossing a no-hitter against the Henderson State Reddies in game two of the doubleheader after the Golden Suns used a six-run seventh and a three-run ninth inning to secure a four-game series sweep.

The series sweep marks the Golden Suns second consecutive Great American Conference series sweep and extended their win streak to 10 straight games. The Golden Suns are now 18-13 overall and have a 14-7 record in GAC play.

GAME ONE
The Golden Suns had a runner in scoring position but were unable to convert in the opening inning. Henderson State struck early, putting up four runs in the bottom of the first inning, going up 4-0.

Both team's staffs kept each other scoreless, with the Golden Suns going down in order in the third, fourth and fifth inning and the Reddies going down in order in the fifth and sixth.

The Golden Suns came to life in the seventh inning, putting up six runs in the top of the inning.
Makenzie Goins singled through the left side to advance
Makenzie Addis before Goins scored from a single from
Arissa Harrish. After reaching on a fielder's choice,
Morgyn Fulgham scored on an error as well as Harrish.
Tymber Riley scored after reaching on an error from a single from
Caitlyn Wells.
Brooke Prewitt's double down the right field line scored
Abbie Cain before Addis singled to score
Shannon Lasey, a pinch runner for Wells, giving the Golden Suns a 6-4 lead.

The Reddies answered right back in the bottom of the inning, posting two more runs to tie things up 6-6 after seven. Both teams went scoreless in the eighth inning. Prewitt singled to the shortstop before scoring on a single from Fulgham. Riley continued to roll in the top of the ninth, doubling to center field, scoring Harrish and
Abigail Lochala after she pinch ran for Fulgham giving the Golden Suns a 9-6 lead. Henderson State went down in order in the bottom of the ninth, securing the Golden Sun's 9-6 victory and the GAC series sweep.

GAME TWO
The Golden Suns controlled the final game of the series from the start when Wells doubled to center field to score
Abbie Cain in the first inning. Harrish and Riley drew two consecutive walks before Cain singled up the middle to load the bases.
Paty Loredo was hit by a pitch, forcing Harrish to score before Prewitt doubled down the left field line to score Cain and Riley, putting the Golden Suns up 4-0 after two.

Fulgham launched her second bomb of the weekend to open the third inning. Harrish followed with a single down the left field line and scored after Wells doubled down the left field line. Prewitt singled to right field to score Loredo after she reached on an error, extending the lead to 7-0.

Riley was hit by a pitch before Loredo singled to right field. Wells stepped up to the plate and knocked a three-run homer to left center, giving the Golden Suns a 10-0 lead after five innings. The Reddies retired in order in the bottom of the fifth, giving the Golden Suns a run-rule victory in game two of the doubleheader.
