Goldens Suns tennis heads to Conway for match with Hendrix

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team resumes play on Tuesday afternoon as the Golden Suns will make the short trip east to Conway to take on Hendrix in a non-conference match.

The Golden Suns will be looking to build off the momentum that they established in their impressive 7-0 blanking of Ouachita in a non-conference match back on February 6.

In that match, the Golden Suns dropped only five games total in double play. The No. 2-flight doubles pairing of Daniela Baez and Lea Grinberg did not surrender a game.

Across the top three flights in singles competition, the Golden Suns dropped just six games total. Michelle Khoo at No. 1 singles won her match 6-1, 6-0, Grinberg at No. 2 singles won her match 6-1, 6-2 and Aastha Dargude at No. 3 singles won 6-1, 6-1.

For her efforts in singles and doubles action, Grinberg was named as the GAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

First-serve for the Golden Suns vs. the Warriors is scheduled for 5 p.m.
