RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The 2020-21 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team will make its debut in Tucker Coliseum on Tuesday, Feb. 2, hosting the University of Arkansas-Monticello. First serve is slated for 6:00 p.m. 

TECH TIDBITS
The Golden Suns open at home after a sweep over Ouachita Baptist last Tuesday in Arkadelphia. A strong offensive showing led by seniors Mackenzie Eford and Rilie Vote gave the Golden Suns the edge to take down the Tigers in straight sets. Eford and Vote both had nine kills each and Eford's five aces was a match-high. Fellow senior Haylee Paladini added eight kills in the match.

Setter Brianna Merkel recorded a double-double, dishing out a match-high 26 assists and putting down five of her own kills, while leading the match with 12 digs. Libero Madison Grantham posted 10 digs, giving her 34 games as a Golden Sun with 10 or more digs.

SCOUTING THE COTTON BLOSSOMS
Arkansas-Monticello dropped their first match of the adapted spring season to Harding in straight sets. The Cotton Blossoms were led by Faith Wilemon with eight kills, Katie Pearson with 19 assists and Katelyn Richbourg with 11 digs.
