RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Volleyball team returns home to Tucker Coliseum on Thursday, October 28 to take on Southern Arkansas. Thursday's match will also be Dig Pink Night.
The Golden Suns are 16-5 overall with a 10-1 record in conference play. In their last matchup against Southern Arkansas this season, Arkansas Tech won 3-0 in Magnolia.
The Muelriders sit at 5-16 overall with a 1-10 record among GAC matches. Their last match was a 2-3 loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State.
Look for seniors Haylee Paladini and Tymber Riley to lead the attack for the Golden Suns offense. Emily Ragsdale, Kaitlynn Bradley and Abby Simpson could also make strong contributions to the offensive game. Junior setter Brianna Merkel and sophomore setter Gracie Palmer will be pacing the Golden Sun offense.
Look for senior libero Madison Grantham to lead the match in digs for the Golden Suns. Junior libero Megan Solberg and Tymber Riley will also help on the defensive end by coming up with critical digs. Ragsdale will lead the blocking effort for Arkansas Tech. Bradley and Paladini should also have strong play holding down the front line.
The match is set for a 6 p.m. start tomorrow night in Tucker.
