RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Volleyball team will travel to Springfield, Mo. to face Drury in a midweek clash. Arkansas Tech currently sits at 16-4 overall and 10-1 in conference. In their last match, the Golden Suns picked up a win with a 3-0 sweep against Southeastern Oklahoma.

During the 2020 season, Drury went 9-9 overall and against conference opponents. The 2020 season was shortened due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This season, Drury is 15-8 overall and 6-5 in conference play. Drury notched a 3-0 sweep at home against Maryville in their last match.

The Golden Suns head into the upcoming week coming off a perfect week going 2-0 in both matches last week. This week, Tech will face Drury on Tuesday then return home to Tucker Coliseum to face Southern Arkansas.

Senior duo Tymber Riley and Haylee Paladini look to lead the Golden Suns offense in the upcoming match against Drury. Riley exceeded 200 kills on the season last week pushing her total to 222. Paladini follows Riley with a strong 152 kill season thus far. Junior outside hitter Kaitlynn Bradley had an excellent offensive outing last week for the Golden Suns with 23 kills and a .435 hitting percentage. 

Leading the defense for the Golden Suns will be senior libero Madison Grantham who has 283 total digs and averages just under 4 digs per set at 3.99. Holding down the front line will be senior middle blocker Emily Ragsdale who leads the team in total blocks with 56. Bradley follows Ragsdale with 52 blocks on the year. Paladini had a strong blocking performance last week leading the team with 9 across both matches and looks to continue the strong defensive presence.

The match against Drury will be tomorrow Tuesday, October 26. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start.
