RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team hit the road this week to face the East Central Tigers on Thursday, Jan. 30, and the Southeastern Oklahoma Savage Storm on Saturday, Feb, 1. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 on Thursday Jan. 30 in Ada, Okla. and 1 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 1 in Durant, Okla.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

- Coming off a double victory week against SWOSU (101-90) and Northwestern Oklahoma (70-51) the Golden Suns hold a 11-5 overall record and 8-4 in Great American Conference play.
- ECU holds a 2-10 GAC record and 4-14 overall. The Golden Suns opened the year with a win over the Tigers (71-69) at home. Arkansas Tech holds an 11-4 total record over ECU.
- SE holds a 10-2 Great American Conference record and stand 13-3 overall. The Golden Suns hold a total 9-6 record over the Savage Storm. This will be the Suns chance to clap back after their Jan. 2 loss.
- The Golden Suns hit triple digits against SWOSU last Thursday where five players put up double digits, Kaley Shipman with 24 points over the Bulldogs.
- Arkansas Tech had a 19-point win over Northwestern on Saturday. Sarah Heard put up 15 points and 7 rebounds during play, which gave Tech a commanding lead and ultimate victory.
