EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Golden Suns won a five-set thriller behind Allie Anderson's 20 kill performance against Kentucky Wesleyan. Mackenzie Eford led Tech to a victory against Kentucky State with 11 kills, hitting .625. The Golden Suns finish the USI Invitational undefeated.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • KWC took an early 4-0 lead until Tech tied things up 4-4.
  • The teams traded points until the Golden Suns went up 23-19.
  • Tech held on to take the first set 25-21.
  • The Golden Suns jumped out 5-0 in the second set, but the Panthers clawed their way 
  • back to tie 11-11. 
  • KWC went up 21-18 and took the set 25-21.

  • Tech took a 6-2 to start the third but KWC ties things at 12-12. 
  • The Panthers kept at least a one-point lead until the Golden Suns tied at 18-18.

  • KSU got within on 18-17 but the Golden Suns used a 7-3 run to take the first set 25-20.

  • The Golden Suns cruised to a 25-8 victory in the second set. 
  • Tech charged to a 9-2 lead in the third. 
  • The Golden Suns finished the match on a 13-7 run to win the third set 25-14 and the match.
