RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. –
Will Adler poured in a season-high 30 points, but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (8-13, 6-9 Great American Conference) was unable to overcome the long-range sharpshooting of Ouachita Baptist (9-10, 6-9), falling 96-82 to the Tigers on Thursday night at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arkansas Tech controlled the pace in the opening minutes of the game, jumping out to a 10-2 advantage just over two minutes into the game.
- Ouachita quickly narrowed the deficit and knotted the game with 13:39 to play in the opening half on a pair of free-throws by Eric Brown, capping a 5-0 run.
- Tech jumped ahead again, but the Tigers kept pace and took their first lead since the 2-0 mark wit ha Franklin Wesley jumper with 9:48 to play, putting Ouachita ahead 24-23.
- The Tigers outscored the Wonder Boys 27-17 down the stretch to go into the half with an 11-point (51-40) lead.
- Tech chipped away at the Ouachita lead over the first five minutes of the second half, pulling to within one (55-54) with 15:41 to play on a free-throw by Alex Brown.
- After OBU answered with a 3-pointer to go ahead by four, Tech pushed back to knot the game at 58-58 with 13:54 to play after a pair of free throws by Alex Brown.
- OBU scored the next six points to go ahead 64-58, and would not trail again; leading by as many as 15 points in the closing minutes of the half.
NOTABLES
- Tech held a 20-7 advantage in points off turnovers, but OBU held a 12-6 advantage in fast-break points and a 9-8 advantage in second-chance points.
- Bench points were solidly in Ouachita's favor, as the Tigers outscored the Wonder Boys 28-8 in that category.
- Both teams shot solidly from the floor, with OBU holding a 60.4 to 50.9 percent advantage in field goal percentage.
- OBU made the most of its shots from beyond the arc, connecting on 16 of 22 attempts – a 72.7 percent rate, the second-highest single-game percentage in GAC history.
- Alex Brown (14 points), Ramses Sandifer (11 points), and Freddy Lee (10 points) all reached double figures in points, while Lee chipped in seven assists. Brown, Sandifer, and Lee tied for the team lead with four rebounds.
- OBU held a 33-22 rebounding edge.
