RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns will look to keep their winning-streak alive as they host Harding and Arkansas-Monticello in Great American Conference play this weekend. Tech will play the Lady Bisons on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and the Cotton Blossoms on Saturday at 1 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Tech leads the all-time series 49-13 against Harding, and have won the last four meetings. Earlier this season the Tech defeated the Lady Bisons 68-67 in overtime in Searcy, Ark as
Kiara Moses hit a 3-pointer from the left corner with 0.2 seconds remaining to give the Suns the win. Tech is 28-1 against Harding at home.
The Suns hold a 64-25 advantage in the all-time series against Arkansas-Monticello and held a 21 game winning streak against UAM, however the Cotton Blossoms snapped that streak earlier this year when UAM defeated Tech 74-65 in Monticello, Ark. The Suns are 35-6 against Monticello at Tucker Coliseum.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN SUNS
Arkansas Tech (10-12, 7-9 GAC) has won four of its last five games and is coming off two big GAC wins last week, as the Suns are now in sole possession of seventh place in the conference standings. Tech used a season-high 13 3-pointers to defeat Ouchita 88-64 at Tucker Coliseum on Feb. 7 before racing to an 85-60 win over Southern Arkansas on Feb. 9 in Magnolia, Ark.
Arkansas Tech has continued to attack the glass as the season has progressed, Tech is one of just two schools in the conference averaging over 40.0 rebounds per game. The Suns grab 41.1 rebounds per game, trailing only Harding (45.5). Tech is also ranked second in GAC in both offensive (12.7) and defensive (28.4) rebounds per game. While coming in at third in rebounding margin (+3.0).
Lyrik Williams (6.0),
Hannah Villines (5.9) and
Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse (5.2) lead the way.
On offense,
Hannah Villines has continued on her scoring tear, tallying her fourth 20-plus point performance of the season with her 24 points in the win against Ouachita. Villines ranks 13
th in the GAC in scoring at 13.5 points per game, sixth in steals (2.1), 14
th in field goal percentage (46.3%) and 18
th in rebounding (5.9).
Jacie Higgins and
Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse are also scoring in double-figures for the Golden Suns, at 11.2 and 11.0 points per game, respectively.
SCOUTING THE LADY BISONS
Harding (16-6, 11-1 GAC) enters Thursday's game on a four-game winning-streak after picking up wins over Arkansas-Monticello (73-63) and Ouachita (79-75) this past weekend. The Lady Bisons are currently ranked second in the conference standings.
Harding is ranked in the top-25 in all of NCAA Division II in multiple categories as they are ranked second in rebounding margin (+12.9), fifth in rebounds per game (45.7), 11
th in defensive rebounds per game (30.0), 13
th in rebounds (961), 16
th in field goal percentage defense (34.9%) and 25
th in offensive rebounds per game (15.0). HU also leads the GAC in scoring defense (60.5).
Kellie Lampo leads the Lady Bisons as she is ranked second in the GAC in scoring (18.8), fifth in rebounding (7.7) and fifth in field goal percentage (52.8%). Lampo also leads the conference in offensive rebounds at 3.6 per game. Lampo led HU with 18 points and 19 rebounds in the overtime loss to Tech earlier this season. Her 19 rebounds were a career-high and the seventh-most rebounds by a Lady Bison. Cheyenne Brown and Carissa Caples are also key contributors as Brown scores 13.3 points per game and Caples adds 12.8 points per game. Caples is ranked fourth in the conference in blocks (0.8), sixth in made 3-pointers per game (2.1) and 11
th in assists per game (2.8).
SCOUTING THE COTTON BLOSSOMS
Arkansas-Monticello (5-16, 4-12 GAC) is on a six game losing streak, its last win came back on Jan. 19 against Ouachita (84-54). Last weekend the Cotton Blossoms dropped contests to Harding (73-63) and Henderson State (76-68). UAM is currently ranked 11
th in the GAC standings.
Monticello ranks third in the conference in steals (206) and steals per game (9.8), while ranking sixth in turnover margin (+1.57) and rebounding defense (37.0). In the Cotton Blossoms win over Tech earlier this season they forced 14 turnovers and scored 17 points off of those miscues. UAM also out rebounded Tech 50-33.
Mackenzie Johnson is the top scorer for the Cotton Blossoms, scoring 16.9 points per game, which ranks as the fifth best in the GAC. Johnson also leads the conference and ranks sixth in the country in field goal percentage, shooting 63.0 percent from the floor. Berniezha Tidwell is the only other UAM player scoring in double-figures at 12.2 points per game. In UAM's win over Tech earlier this season, Johnson led all players with 24 points and ten rebounds, notching her first double-double of the season.
