SECOND HALF SURGE PUSHES WONDER BOYS OVER BULLDOGS

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Kevin McNeal dropped 20 points and added nine rebounds to lead the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (6-2, 2-1) to a 93-71 victory over the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs (0-4). R.J. Glasper added 18 points along with eight assist and Dillon Gooding and Devante Foster scored 15 and 13 respectively.

  • The Wonder boys travel to Magnolia Saturday, Dec. 14, to face Southern Arkansas in a Great American Conference matchup. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A three pointer from Gooding put the Wonder Boys on the board with 18:18 left in the first half and another three-pointer from Albert Odero gave the wonder Boys their first lead (8-7) with 16:55 left in the first half.
  • Neither team led by more than three in the first half, as the Bulldogs went up 36-33 going into halftime.
  •  A jumper from Mcneal gave the Wonder Boys a lead (39-38) with 18:41 left in the second half and they never looked back.
  • A jumper from Gooding put the Wonder Boys up by 30 points (87-57) with 4:43 left in the game.
  • Porter Anderson scored Arkansas Tech's last basket with 1:13 left in the game.
NOTABLES
  • The Wonder Boys outshot the Bulldogs 49 percent to 37 percent on the night. Tech held the advantage with 15 assists to JCC's 10.
  • Tech was 1-33 from long range and 24-24 from the charity stripe.
  • The Wonder Boys had 44 points off the bench.
