RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech head women's basketball coach
Dave Wilbers and his Golden Suns basketball team will take to the court for the first time on Saturday, November 8, 2019, facing Crowley's Ridge College in a 1 p.m. matchup at Tucker Coliseum.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Arkansas Tech opens the 2019-20 season with four consecutive home games. After Saturday's matchup against CRC, Tech returns to face Lane on Monday, 11/11; Angelo State on Sunday, 11/17, and opens conference play against Ouachita on Thursday, 11/21.
- Several key components of last year's Golden Suns team return to the court this season, notably GAC Newcomer of the Year Hannah Villines, who started all 31 games and averaged 13.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Fellow starters Jayana Sanders (10.6 ppg, 4.4 apg, 3.4 rpg), Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse (9.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg), and Ryann Goodsell (6.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg) also return.
- This will officially be the second all-time meeting between the two schools. Tech downed Crowley's Ridge 128-39 on November 10, 2013.
- Ashley Breathitt returns to the Golden Suns after missing the majority of the 2018-19 season with an injury. In her limited playing time last year (four games), Breathitt averaged 7.8 points and 2.0 boards per game. She saw action in all 29 games as a freshman.
- Saturday's game will not be carried on local radio. Local radio coverage of Golden Suns basketball begins on Monday, Nov. 11 with the Tech/Lane contest.
