WONDER BOYS FALL TO REDDIES

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.Dillon Gooding scored 22 points and Devante Foster added 15 and 13 rebounds but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (3-2, 1-1 Great American Conference) could not stop the potent offensive attack from the Henderson State Reddies (5-1, 2-0), falling 97-61 on the road.

  • The Wonder Boys travel to face the University of Texas-Arlington in an exhibition game Sunday, November 24, at 1 p.m.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A jumper from Gooding put the Wonder Boys on the board after HSU scored the first seven points of the game.
  • The Wonder Boys did not score for two minutes until a layup from Gooding with 15:34 left in the half.
  • A three-pointer from Henderson's Anthony Lupardus put the Reddies up by 20 (35-15) with 5:12 left in the half.
  • A jumper Cameron Kennedy ended the half with Henderson leading 41-24.
  • Henderson scored first to start the second half with a three-pointer to put the Reddies back up by 20 (44-24).
  • The Wonder Boys could not get within 19 of the Reddies as they extended their lead to as many as 36 and a layup sealed the 97-61 victory.
 
NOTABLES
  • HSU held a 46-30 advantage on points in the paint and an 11-2 advantage in steals and a 24-2 advantage in fast break points.  
  • The Wonder held a 45-39 advantage in total rebounds with a 15-7 advantage in offensive rebounds.
