GOLDEN SUNS OPEN UP GAC TOURNAMENT AGAINST OKLAHOMA BAPTIST
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns begin postseason play on Thursday in the Great American Conference Volleyball Championships in Hot Springs. The eighth-seeded Golden Suns' first-round match will be against the top-seeded Oklahoma Baptist Bison at 5 p.m. in Bank OZK Arena.
Series History
- The Golden Suns lead the all-time series against the Bison 3-2. Oklahoma Baptist won the first meeting this season in four sets.

1. Tournament Time
The Golden Suns have found success at the conference tournament, winning the tournament four times in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2017. Arkansas Tech has made it to the finals five times and the semifinals six times.
2. Back on the Winning Track
A win against Southern Arkansas in straight secured the Golden Suns berth into postseason play and ended a five-game losing streak. The Golden Suns dominated the Muleriders by out-blocking them 9-2 and out-serving them with seven aces to the Muleriders' two.
