RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (15-10, 7-5 Great American Conference) could not hold off the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms (10-15, 5-7), falling in five sets (25-16, 25-20, 19-25, 18-25, 13-15).
Allie Anderson put down 16 kills and
Haylee Paladini added 14, while hitting .458 for the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns jumped out to an early 7-2 lead to start the first set.
- UAM clawed back within one, 10-9, but Tech pushed it leads and won the last four points of the set to take the first, 25-16.
- The teams traded points early to start the second set until UAM went up three, 16-13.
- Tech came back to tie 17-17 and used an 8-1 run to win the second set 25-19.
- The Golden Suns jumped out to a 10-5 lead to start the third set, but UAM came back to tie things 17-17.
- UAM used an 8-1 run to take the third set 25-19.
- The teams went back and forth to start the fourth set until UAM went up 19-14.
- The Cotton Blossoms won six of the last seven points in the fourth set to win, 25-18.
- UAM took a 9-3 lead to start the fifth set.
- Tech tied things at 13-13 but UAM won the final two points of the set, winning the fifth set 15-13 and the match.
