RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (13-8, 6-3 Great American Conference) were unable to complete a comeback against the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers (16-8, 6-3) and fell in five sets (18-25, 25-10, 25-27, 25-17, 11-15).

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The teams traded points early in the first set until NWOSU went up 18-13.
• NWOSU used a 4-1 run to take the first set 25-18.
• Tech jumped out to a 6-1 lead to start the second set.
• The Golden Suns used an 11-2 run to take the second set 25-10.
• Tech took an 8-5 lead before NWOSU tied things at 10-10.
• The teams traded points late in the set before NWOSU used a 4-1 run to take the third set 27-25.
• NWOSU took a 4-1 lead to start the fourth set before Tech stormed back with a 7-0 run to take a 14-7 lead.
• The Golden Suns finished the fourth set with a 5-1 run and took the fourth set 25-17.
• The teams traded points early in fifth and were tied 9-9.
• NWOSU used a 6-2 run to win the fifth set 15-11 and the match.
