WONDER BOYS TOP RANGERS

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Caleb Batie and Tanner Gaines both found the end zone with rushing touchdowns as the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys football team (1-6, 1-6 Great American Conference) picked up its first win of the 2019 season, downing Northwestern Oklahoma (2-5, 2-5) 21-14 on Saturday at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.

  • Tre Chism was Tech's leading tackler with eight stops, including 5.5 for loss. The junior racked up three sacks, which ties for the second most in school history. Chism becomes the first Wonder Boy to rack up three sacks in a game since Roland Dampeer hit the mark against Southeastern Oklahoma in the 2011 season.
