FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Arkansas Tech's championship teams from the 2018-19 academic year will be honored at halftime, as the men's and women's golf teams and the softball team will all be honored.
- Having hit the halfway point of the season last week, Arkansas Tech will conclude the 2019 season with three of five games at home. After Saturday's game, Tech plays host to Southeastern Oklahoma on November 2 and Harding on November 16.
- Northwestern Oklahoma enters Saturday's game with a 2-4 record. The Rangers picked up a 21-13 win over East Central in the two teams' season opener and later shut out UAM 28-0 in Alva. The shutout was the first for NWOSU since last season's 21-0 win over Tech in Alva.
- Despite last season's loss, Tech holds an all-time 11-5 advantage in the series against NWOSU, winning seven straight between 1994 and 2017. The last time the Rangers won in Russellville was back on September 26, 1987, when the Rangers took a 30-7 win over the Wonder Boys at Buerkle Field.
- One of the best defensive performances in Wonder Boys football history came during a 2016 matchup between the Wonder Boys and Rangers, when D'Vonta Derricott racked up 18 tackles in the Wonder Boys' win. That total ranks tied for the eighth-highest single-game total in program history, and ties Derricott with eight other players.
