Jayana Sanders scored 18 points, while
Ryann Goodsell added 12, but the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team (6-11, 3-8 Great American Conference) was unable to overcome foul trouble and a late surge by No. 16 Southwestern Oklahoma (16-1, 11-0), falling 94-63 on Thursday night at the Pioneer Cellular Events Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns scored the first two baskets of the game to jump ahead 4-0 less than a minute into the contest.
- SWOSU was able to knot the contest at 6-6 on a Hailey Tucker 3-pointer at the 8:03 mark.
- After the Golden Suns reclaimed the lead on the next possession on a Jacie Higgins jumper, SWOSU pulled ahead (9-8) on a 3-pointer by Hayden Priddy with 7:20 to play.
- From there, the Golden Suns rallied to reclaim the lead and hold it until the 5:23 mark, when SWOSU hit a 3-pointer to tie the game with 5:23 remaining in the opening quarter.
- Tech would hold SWOSU scoreless down the stretch in the opening quarter, as Tech scored four points to go into the quarter break with an 18-14 advantage.
- SWOSU scored the first six points of the second quarter to pull ahead 20-18 less than a minute into the quarter.
- A pair of Ryann Goodsell free-throws tied the game at 20-20 with 8:50 to play in the half, and after a pair of free-throws gave the Bulldogs the lead again, a layup by Goodsell again knotted the contest at 22-22 with 8:20 remaining.
- Goodsell was sent to the bench with 7:53 remaining in the half with eight points after picking up her third personal foul.
- Tech twice reclaimed the lead, but Southwestern used a 5-0 run to claim a 30-28 lead with 5:28 remaining in the half.
- Lyrik Williams broke a nearly three-minute scoreless drought to tie the game at 30-30 with 4:00 to play, and a Higgins layup gave Tech a 32-30 advantage with 3:13 remaining.
- Tech held its lead until the 1:33 mark when Tucker's 3-pointer gave SWOSU a 36-34 advantage.
- Tech again knotted the game at 36-36 on a layup on the subsequent possession, but a 3-pointer by Priddy again put SWOSU ahead in the final minute of the half, and SWOSU carried a 42-38 advantage into the half.
- SWOSU opened scoring in the second half to stretch its lead to six (44-38) – its largest lead of the contest before Hannah Villines cut the SWOSU lead to five (44-39) with 9:29 remaining in the quarter.
- A 3-pointer by SWOSU stretched its lead into double figures (50-39) with 7:47 to play in the third quarter, and the Lady Bulldogs carried a 15-point (68-53) lead into the fourth quarter.
- The Lady Bulldogs continued to stretch their lead through the fourth quarter en route to the final margin of victory.
